Hmmm...he founded his own church, based on nontraditional beliefs and practices, only takes "donations" for services, benefits personally from the church's operations...this gentleman will be receiving a call from the IRS in the near future, if he hasn't already. His "ministry" is just a variation on a common tax-evasion scheme, one that has been successfully prosecuted many, many times.
(I've actually read up on a lot of similar cases lately for paper I'm writing for a graduate-level tax class.)
